Antivirus 2009

Antivirus 2009 Description

ScreenshotAntivirus 2009, also known as Antivirus2009, is a rogue anti-spyware program that uses false spyware results to lure you to purchase its full version. Antivirus2009 is an updated version of Antivirus 2008. Other Antivirus 2009 aliases that have recently appeared on the Web are: XP Antivirus 2008, Vista Antivirus 2008, Ultimate Antivirus 2008 and System Antivirus 2008.

Antivirus 2009 is usually promoted via a ZLOB/MediaAccess Codec installer found on adult websites. Zlob has been the trojan of choice to infect users with pop ups disguised as system notifications that lead to websites with rogue anti-spyware programs. You can also install Antivirus 2009 manually on the rogue website antivirus-scanner.com.

I have had problems with this program before and manage to remove it manually. However this time around the updated program seems to have blocked me from many apps on my computer. I cannot run any of the automatic removal software, open add/remove programs or run redigt to remove key componets. I am running out of ideas on how to delete the program from my system any helpful comments or tips would be much appriciated. It also had the internet locked but i manage to find the files that caused this on my own.

Anyone with help can contact me at dmalcom@live.com

I have now removed this from many many PCs, by slaving the drive and using my personal favorite of Norton 360, I advise you all not to just run a anti malware, please run an anti virus as well. Every single machine that I c;eaned also had keyloggers now if this was present before or after I cant tell you, but it is really something you want to look out for.

    hi there.
I had a customers computer with Antivirus infecting it. Though I managed to uninstall the main component, a small extesion called winsystems.dll prevented access to the internet. it is also sometimes call winsystem.dll. to delete this, simply do a search as described above. it should be located in your system32 folder.

  • Rocko says:

I aquired this over the weekend. It got to the point where I couldn’t function in my web browser and when I could function, it blocked any site that serched on regarding instructions on how to remove it. Pretty smart. These people need to be prosecuted!
I ended up downloading AVGFREE on to my zip drive. Once installed, it still did not remove the virus. As a last ditch effort, I used my recovery disk to bring it back to original specs. Lost my dcuments, but rid the lap top of the virus. I was ok with losing my documents but I know a lot of people are not good with that. I’m currently using SPYWARE Doctor. It’s not free. Use the above info or spywarehunter. Good luck!

I’ve had this vile crap Antivirus2009 for a few days now. Like everybody else, no matter how many times I attempt to kill it, it comes back every time after I reboot my computer. It’s driving me maddddddddd. I think I’m going to try to restore my computer to a date before my computer got infected. However, I am concerned that although I may have restored to a previous date, but how do I know it still doesn’t secretly live inside my computer?

Today I have been getting the crap on my computer about how I need to download the antivirus 2009. This is the second time my computer has been infected with thing in the last six months. The first time I have to take it to a computer shop to get it off there. This time I am going to try the download on this site to get rid of it. Even while I’m typing this it keeps popping saying my computer is in danger and infected with serious virusus and spyware, YA theirs! It won’t let me down load any other virus protection programs. I knew better than to by their advertisement. I will let you know how this all turns out.

  • Drew says:

Been working on a friend’s desktop (XP) to remove AV2009. So far no dice – tried every trick in the book. This virus has disabled system restore, it prevents any malware programs from running…this thing is a pain in the rear! I even disconnected the machine from the internet, loaded anti malware on a flash drive, rebooted the machine in safe mode and it STILL prevented me from running the malware killer. Geez…I’m out of options, short of just blowing up the whole thing.

  • Darnell Williams says:

Thanks so much! I was going on a game website and I thought that it infected my comp when the antivirus2009 came up. So I downloaded it. I figured out when I restarted my comp it was rouge. Thank you for helping me get that program…virus off my computer. My dad might not kill me.! Hey Sabrina you would have to do it to your businesses network. Remember it can infect other comps on the same network.

  • lanz says:

This Antivirus 2009 showed up while searching for NANDA. Luckily, as my sister had encountered this pest last year (named Anitvirus 2008), I didn’t accept the installation as I knew what would happen next…

  • Stefanie says:

    Hello,
AntiVirus 2009 showed up in my computer last night. My boyfriend just kept trying to kill it, and then got the impression that it was eating files. After hours of trying to delete cookies and scan for it we gave up. This morning I woke up and searched online and found out what I had suspected, that it was some evil adware monster, and read how to get rid of it and i deleted it. Now i have discovered that it deleted hundreds and hundreds of irreplacable precious photos. Nearly all of my pictures are gone and i can’t retrieve them. I tried to restore my computer to an earlier time and that didn’t work as well. Any ideas would really be appreciated, these are some of my most precious posessions. Also, do you know of anyone who is pursuing this legally? I would be interested in finding out how I can help send these filthy people to jail. I didn’t even purchase anything from them and it wiped all of my photos within hours. Please help me!

FYI, I tried the on-line technical service provided by MaCAfee for $59.95 and they sent me an antivirus program. The program failed to get rid of Antivirus 2009. The tech on the chat line told me that I could use the $59.95 already paid as a credit toward purchasing platinum service if I wanted further assistance.

I have windows xp professional.

  • cheeze says:

Thanx a bunch! This website saved me! That damn so called Antivirus 2009 drove me insane. I kept popping up like mad asking me to purchase. I almost did. Thank goodness I didn’t.

I pity those who did though. Those insane people who did this AV2009 thing should be shot, cut into tiny pieces & fed to sharks. I don’t know how they can sleep at night doing this to other people.

After hours of scratching my head, I managed to remove it (I really hope it’s for good). I tried Step 2 (using Task Manager) to end the process & it worked! But when I restart, that damn thing popped up again.

So I did Step 2 again & this time, went to Search immediately after to delete the Antivirus 2009 folder & walla! AV2009 no more.

I hope it works for others too.

  • Ken says:

I have successfully removed this serveral times. Some of the things that I have been reading here ,I haven’t found to work. but this will work everytime. I use malwarebytes antimalware, manual update and run then online virus scan with bitdefender online scan to verify that everything is gone. However the virus has changed recently and you cannot open antimalware, antispyware programs, and it disables chkdsk and the time sync feature in windows if this is the case, you will also need drweb curit. You may need to download these files from an uninfected computer to a flash drive and transfer to the infected computer. All of these programs are free.Total removal time:20-40 min.

  • cg says:

  • James Tamba Fomba says:

i want to remove all the viruse from my system

  • Ann Varnadoe says:

I, too, thought Antivirus 2009 was legit so I bought it and used my credit card to pay. Unfortunately, this so-called antivirus is a tracking cookie. The $51.45 charge for this program came DIRECTLY FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. My bank is investigating this as a fraudulent charge and if possible, I will prosecute. I bought Norton 360 to make sure that my computer is protected. Since this is a “cookie”, I would suggest that you delete any and all cookies on your computer. I blocked my debit card and changed my user ID and pw on everything. Type “chrpay.com/meyrocorp” on your search bar. Hope you get the “pandora” site. If you do, look at it. You will be suprised to see all the spyware advertised.

Good luck to all of you that ,like me, “got taken”.

I got their number from the website (they are a 3rd party company) called them and they gave me no problem told me that i would have our money back in the account within 5 days..and they did… interesting how they just refunded the money..no questions asked..cuz they know it’s bs! hope that helps
