Generic VB.i Description
Generic VB.i is a banking Trojan that disables the firewall and steals sensitive financial data like credit card numbers and online banking login details. Generic VB.i also contains threat characteristics of a ZBot and will take screenshots, download additional components and provide a hacker with the remote access to the compromised system. Generic VB.i operates stealthily and can also download a keylogger program that steals personal information such as banking details and credit card numbers. Generic VB.i contains characteristics of a severe security risk and should be terminated from the compromised computer on detection.

Generic VB.i Manual Removal Instructions
Backup Reminder: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.To remove Generic VB.i, you must first stop any Generic VB.i processes that are running in your computer's memory. To stop all Generic VB.i processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Generic VB.i, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
To delete Generic VB.i registry keys, open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and click "OK." Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Generic VB.i." Right-click this registry key and select "Delete."
Finally, to completely get rid of Generic VB.i, you must manually remove other Generic VB.i files. These Generic VB.i files can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Generic VB.i might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Generic VB.i\Generic VB.i.exe. Locate and remove these files.
