Gibmedia Description
The Gibmedia adware program comes packed with a keylogger and other malicious infections. Gibmedia is downloaded in a malware and virus bundle and may also be linked to a fake security suite. Other malicious activities include providing hackers with valuable personal information for identity theft and other cybercrimes. Gibmedia poses a threat to personal and computer security and should be removed immediately once detected.

Gibmedia Manual Removal Instructions
Backup Reminder: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.To remove Gibmedia, you must first stop any Gibmedia processes that are running in your computer's memory. To stop all Gibmedia processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Gibmedia, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
To delete Gibmedia registry keys, open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and click "OK." Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Gibmedia." Right-click this registry key and select "Delete."
Finally, to completely get rid of Gibmedia, you must manually remove other Gibmedia files. These Gibmedia files can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Gibmedia might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Gibmedia\Gibmedia.exe. Locate and remove these files.
