Happy 99 emails itself to you as an attachment. After opening the attachment, you get a "Happy New Years 1999" message with a fireworks display. Happy 99 will then download two files onto your system: one is a Trojan that will not infect your computer unless you execute it, and the other file helps Happy 99 spread itself. Through this second file, Happy 99 will email itself to everyone on your contact list as the exact same email.
