PC Security 2009 Description

PC Security 2009 is a fake security program that comes from the same group of attackers that develop and advertise WinReanimator and Home Antivirus 2009, which are both rogue anti-spyware programs. PC Security 2009 may be advertised and installed through the Trojan horse Trojan-Downloader.Braviax. Various misleading popup alerts or bogus system notifications are known to come from this Trojan infection. Usually the messages are used as an attempt to entice purchase of the full PC Security 2009 application.

Once PC Security 2009 is installed onto your system it is usually followed up with a system scan that returns several misleading results. The system scan may initiate each time you startup Windows which can make PC Security 2009 very difficult to manually detect and remove.
