Smart Mechanic Description

Smart Mechanic (SmartMechanic) is a rogue registry editor program which spreads via Trojans. Once the Trojan is active SmartMechanic produces a fake scan which reports bogus results to trick users into believing that their PCs have been infected. Smart Mechanic then displays warnings and security alerts which urge the user to purchase a supposedly legal security tool. This is all a blatant scam. Ignore the fake scan results and false warnings and terminate the malware related to SmartMechanic.
