    colin,

SpyShredder may install Trojans or some viruses into your computer. And those Trojans or viruses usually change or lock desktop wallpapers so that the simple user couldn't access it. Try to download our scanner, then press 'generate support log' and post the support logs so we could have a better way to analyze your problem. It will be like posting HijackThis logs.

Daniel, Of course SpyShredder may affect \"Tabbed Browsing\" for Internet Explorer. Scan your computer with anti-spyware programs. Or you can download our free scanner to see what infected files do you have and try to remove them manually.

I just had to go through getting SpyShredder removed from my desktop. I used SpyBot to locate all of the files and reg settings (I deleted them manually instead of paying to register SpyBot). After this was done I still didn't have access to my Desktop. I then went to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Display. I went to the Desktop tab and selected Customize Desktop. Then selected the Web tab. There was a listing for Privacy something or other in the list of web pages and it was selected. I selected the Delete button to the right and it removed it. I instantly had access to my Desktop again. Hope this helps someone.
