W32/AutoRun-AUJ Description
W32/AutoRun-AUJ is a network-aware worm that infects a system and then attempts to replicate across the entire existing network. W32/AutoRun-AUJ has been found to produce outbound traffic and also illegally download unknown files from the Internet. W32/AutoRun-AUJ also creates a startup registry entry and contains all the characteristics of a severe security risk. Win32 worms also spread using Windows networking APIs, MAPI functions or email clients such as Microsoft Outlook. W32/AutoRun-AUJ should be removed from the infected system immediately to limit further damage.

Backup Reminder: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.To remove W32/AutoRun-AUJ, you must first stop any W32/AutoRun-AUJ processes that are running in your computer's memory. To stop all W32/AutoRun-AUJ processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for W32/AutoRun-AUJ, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
To delete W32/AutoRun-AUJ registry keys, open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and click "OK." Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\W32/AutoRun-AUJ." Right-click this registry key and select "Delete."
Finally, to completely get rid of W32/AutoRun-AUJ, you must manually remove other W32/AutoRun-AUJ files. These W32/AutoRun-AUJ files can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, W32/AutoRun-AUJ might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\W32/AutoRun-AUJ\W32/AutoRun-AUJ.exe. Locate and remove these files.
