Win32/Cryptor Description

Win32/Cryptor (also known as TrojanDownloader.Win32.Cryptor) is a trojan downloader that can download and install additional malware on to the computer. Typically you will find your computer infected with W32/Cryptor after visiting malicious websites or downloading and installing suspicious software with an embedded trojan.

    Virus appeared to come via webex! That is bad news. (I am a very old geek). It also appears to have downloaded at least 3 other varmints.

    This PC is behind a Sonicwall TZ210 firewall and is up to date. There is a VPN via ATT and that Webex link. I strongly suspect it came via Webex. It also appears to have propagated across the 100 pc+ network infecting the server and another PC.

    If this some kind of joke? Am I truly to believe that this malware creates registry entries and Program File folders and runs as a program under it\’s own name? Do you think if removal were that easy that people would bother writing malware detection and removal programs?
