To remove it? D/L The Prg, install update if needed? Then restart in safe mode by hitting F8 and selecting safe mode once in log in as admin then after windows as loaded then make if you have a antivirus scanner? Disable it for the time being then do your scan and remove what it does find.
Then log out and into any additional accounts you have on the machine and repeat process/or if you only have the admin account? Simply restart your machine as normal and do another scan to be safe
The Windows Anti-virus showed up on my screen a couple day’s ago.Highly persistant.Ilooked thru 3 different site’d for answer’s to removal.I may have picked up the wav.exe and wav.cpl information on an “odd” Enigma page which I now cannot find.
I found the two file’s in “search”.The wav.exe would not delete.I keep “file Assassin” on my PC.I used the “unlock” and the file was immediately released.The virus was then gone.I checked thru other mean’s such as task to see if anything remained.

chaps-please- simply install super anti spyware, run scan, restart. After boot-up, click start/run type regedit and click open. look in local_local machine and local_user for anything that has ‘vnc’ click on and delete, problem solved. A clients pc had the above issues, in fact it had 1516 infections. i fixed all the above inside 45 mins!!!
This is a very dangerous problem. It infected me through Symantec Corp. 10.2. I can’t figure out how, but it did. I have a small network and this spread throughout my entire system for one pc. This also has changed it’s name several times. The files they tell you to look for here are just SOME of the files that can come from this bug. Good luck to all.
I have it, but I can’t find the file. What can I do?
I just spent a full dayflattening and rebuilding a laptop thanks to this virus. even after going through the manual steps to remove it, it still had several things in the registry and in hidden folders, it kept reinstalling itself on reboot. it also had an applet in the boot sector, that was how it was reinstalling, most likely, so the drive got flattened and totally rebuilt. I now have a faster, happier machine( and wife)
Finally someone who offers free advice and is not trying to infect your computer further. The spy hunter program is real and not more spy wear like windows anti virus 2008. It effectively removed not only the virus but other spy wear that was on my computer. For all you people that are still worried about buying this have no fear i still never bought the fake spy wear like some but this program effectively removed the infected and hidden files that the fake spy wear program created. Hopes this helps all computer users who cant believe the extent that virus go and how they are even able to use the windows logo in their product to fool users. So please fallow this advice and stop hackers from stealing your money now and download a spy wear program due to the fact that windows anti virus 2008 changes your administration tools and can only be removed with anti-spy wear software and not just with your add/remove program that is on your computer. P.S. i wrote this long response only because of the hours of searching on the internet for an correct answer not provided by a hacker so i hope this helps
