Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

DeskFavorites is an application with adware capabilities that may not help you in any way. In the meantime, it may change the performance of the available Web clients in a negative way, so the best thing you can do is to keep if away from your PC. The functionality of DeskFavorites is very limited: it promises to let you store the links to your favorite webpages for a later viewing. However, this feature may not make your browsing experience a more enjoyable process for one simple reason – all browsers already offer this function. You can easily bookmark the sites that interest you, no matter if your default Web client is Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. As it may be expected, the majority of installations of DeskFavorites may not happen through its official site. More commonly this adware may enter alongside freeware. The good news is that the more detailed 'Advanced' guide displays a comprehensive list of all components that you are about to install. You can uncheck the undesired ones manually. Instead of optimizing your surfing experience, DeskFavorites may ruin it because it may create additional commercial materials. The ads that you may encounter on various websites may be pop-ups, banners, videos, animations, interstitial ads and in-text ads. The wide variety of marketing materials may distract you, especially when you take in mind that these ads may be eye-catching. The mere fact that your browsers will have to load many more marketing elements than usual may result in sporadic freezes or, at best, slower operating speed. Security experts don't encourage clicking on the discounts, special offers and coupons by DeskFavorites consistently because some of the sponsored sites may be unsafe. It is best to maintain the security of your system by running a scan to delete this adware.
