The Download Manager Star by Aztec Media is an application that promises to increase the speed of your downloads. You should consider whether it is worth seriously because the experts classify this software as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). On a first sight, the Download Manager Star is a functioning application that resembles the legitimate torrent clients greatly. However, there is a reason the majority of PC users haven't heard its name. First of all, it doesn't surpass the other similar programs in terms of functionality. Since the download speed is mainly related to the parameters set by your Internet provider, you cannot expect this PUP to let you download software any faster. The second and more important reason to keep the Download Manager Star away from your PC is that it may cause unrequested modifications to available browsers. Soon after this questionable application enters, it may substitute your homepage with some unreliable search platform that may display manipulated results. The Download Manager Star also may insert commercial materials automatically. In the 'Terms and Conditions', you may notice signs of this behavior, but the majority of users may not read this comprehensive information. As a result, a significant portion of clients may be surprised to notice additional pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads. Not only these marketing elements may slow down the operating speed of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, but they also may redirect you towards compromised webpages. Some of them may attempt to use misleading tactics while others may offer the visitors software with unverified legitimacy. The experts suggest you to use a credible anti-malware tool to delete this PUP from your PC.
