Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Extra Savings is a multiple-browser add-on that loads advertisements, claiming that its advertisements will provide shopping savings. Extra Savings advertisements offer questionable shopping benefits relative to using an efficient search engine, and because adware may cause performance or even security hazards to arise. Due to those issues, deleting Extra Savings should be considered, in most scenarios. Since Extra Savings does have the potential for modifying more than one type of Web browser simultaneously, removal of Extra Savings should be handled with specialized anti-adware tools, when they're available.
That 'Something Extra' from Extra Savings
Extra Savings occupies one of the most prominent sub-types of adware, the shopping add-on that claims that its advertisements will offer you advantages in money-saving opportunities. While malware experts found Extra Savings to load appropriate advertisement content for its niche, these advertisements have no guarantees of providing any savings that would be difficult to find with any standard search engine. With its advantages extraneous, Extra Savings offers few reasons to leave Extra Savings uninstalled. At the same time, there are long-confirmed reasons to justify uninstalling Extra Savings or any other adware.
Extra Savings advertisements may be formatted as injected content, such as thumbnails and pop-in windows. These advertisements may cover over standard site content, prevent you from clicking on navigation buttons or worsen your browser's performance. Malware researchers also have seen extensive cases of adware networks subverted for the distribution of other PC threats, which may include banking Trojans, file encryptors and similar threats. As Extra Savings's website makes it clear, any contact with its advertising partners is at your personal risk. Extra Savings offers no protection from potential compromises of the same advertisements Extra Savings forces your browser to display.
Saving Your Shopping the Way You Choose
Extra Savings can be found at the extrasavings.info website, although malware experts often see such adware being bundled with other products, typically on general freeware domains. PUPs like Extra Savings aren't intended to attack your PC, but may cause inadvertent damage to it by loading hostile advertising content. Minimizing any unnecessary exposure to these Web scripts is a security precaution that is highly encouraged. Browsers with Extra Savings may consist of multiple brands at the same time, and Extra Savings has been found to include full compatibility with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome.
When Extra Savings installs itself automatically, or you've chosen to remove Extra Savings after using it, you should use removal methods that can delete all settings changes associated with this adware. Up-to-date anti-adware products should have no issues with identifying Extra Savings, which, structurally, diverges little from similar adware add-ons seen in the past few years. Unsupported removal methods, even those that are recommended by Extra Savings, run a high chance of failing to uninstall the settings changes that allow its advertisements to load.
