FLV Blaster is not the right application that you should use in case you need assistance for your downloads. This product is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) because the user's feedback tends to be very negative. It is true that FLV Blaster may offer you some help if you want to download music and videos from some popular platforms. In some situations, however, your attempts to download videos from YouTube or Metacafe may end up with errors. The reason the clients are not satisfied with FLV Blaster doesn't concern its primary function as much as its side effects. This PUP may cause unrequested modifications of all available browsers, including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. The first alteration you may notice is that your default homepage may be replaced automatically. FLV Blaster may place some low-quality search engine in its place that may try to redirect you to partner sites. Exactly for the same reason, this PUP may insert many pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads. It may not take too long before you start getting annoyed by the commercial materials since they may become a consistent part of your surfing sessions. The ads may display discounts and promotions on products that you need because FLV Blaster may track your browsing history to tune them to your taste. Nevertheless, it isn't recommended to follow them because you may end up in some compromised pages. This PUP may be hard to remove because it may spread its files across the system and create some registry subkeys. You may try to delete the folders "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\FLV Blaster" and "<$PROGRAMFILES>\FLV Blaster", but the Windows registries are a sensitive area, and it is not advisable to modify them unless you are an expert. To delete FLV Blaster easily, you should rely on reliable security software.
