High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

Games Junkies is adware that may alter the functionality of your Web clients pretty negatively. It may insert various commercial materials, changes the default homepage and attach a toolbar at the top of the screen. The developer of this questionable extension is APN, LLC, but the company in charge of the distribution is InMind, Inc. Games Junkies works exactly like the other products by APN that include Sound Junkies, Movie Junkies and Tune Junkies. In theory, this unreliable add-on should give you access to blogs and reviews dedicated to different PC games. It achieves this task by placing sponsored links in the toolbar. Even if some of the promoted pages are of interest to you, you can open them directly, so the benefits of keeping Games Junkies may be very limited. The primary reason not to install this adware is that it may place pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads in the majority of visited sites. This process may cause distraction and annoyance. Moreover, the multimedia materials may consume system resources, which may slow down the operating speed. If your PC is older, your browser may even freeze and crash sometimes. You should not neglect the chances for some ads to open fraudulent or threatening webpages. The acronym APN stands for Ask Partner Network, so you may expect Games Junkies to place some Ask-based search site as your homepage. The function of this site is also to redirect you to partner domains with unverified legitimacy, so you should be careful. Games Junkies may appear as the users install third-party freeware. It is advisable to perform the process through the 'Advanced' menu to uncheck bonus components. To delete the adware after it has modified the browsers, you need to scan your PC with reputable security software.
