Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Magical Find is software that may deliver extra, sponsored content to your Web browser. Although Magical Find isn't classifiable as a threatening program such as a virus, Magical Find may indirectly harm your browsing experience by loading harmful, unwanted or obstructive Web content. As with other adware issues, most PC users experiencing any problems with removing Magical Find advertisements or its symptoms from their browsers should resort to using dedicated anti-adware tools whenever appropriate.
The Magic Act that overstays Its Welcome
Magical Find is another browser add-on that malware researchers have noted for targeting the Chrome browser in preference, as of September. However, Magical Find also may be compatible with other brands of Windows-based browsers. Although Magical Find uses a personalized website for its 'legitimate' distribution method, some PC users also have complained of Magical Find being installed via other means, such as bundling itself with other downloads.
Magical Find, like other adware, bases its features on delivering theoretical value to its users in the form of injected advertisements. The standard formats for advertisements from Magical Find, so far, have fallen under the following headings:
- Magical Find may display advertisements in graphical elements that may inject themselves into a browser's Web page, such as a banner or sidebar.
- Magical Find may inject text-based links, including sponsor-based 'search results' or hotlinks for already-present text.
- In addition to the above advertisements, which display within the current window, Magical Find also may load additional pop-up windows or new tabs.
Content delivered through Magical Find advertisements may be flagged with text indicators of the advertisement's source. However, these flags aren't accompanied by setting options that would let PC users close advertisements easily or otherwise exert a normal level of control over the content of their browsers.
When looking at this sponsored content, malware experts found evidence of most advertisements from Magical Find focusing on online retailer services, including digital coupons and limited discounts. However, they found no cases of Magical Find providing unique content that was unavailable from other sources, making the case for installing Magical Find, in the first place, highly dubious.
Removing Magical Find from Your Repertoire of Browser Tricks
Magical Find is, at worst, software developed for the purpose of generating Web traffic revenue without much concern for the quality of the user base's experience. Despite not being classifiable as a threat, Magical Find advertisements may cause your Web browser to load other threats, including ones normally associated with online tactics or threat-related attacks. Web surfers interacting with content from Magical Find advertisements should be careful about giving out any information and, as always, be mindful of potential attacks disguised as updates or offers.
Many PC security products and browsers include settings for blocking the worst of threatening advertisement content. However, removing Magical Find still should be considered for optimizing the safety and performance of Chrome, and any other, equally applicable browsers. When deleting this adware, restart your PC in Safe Mode with Networking and scan your PC with the adware product you find most trustworthy. Clearing your browser's settings afterward also should be considered, although malware experts advise against opening the browser until all ongoing scans conclude.
