MixMovie is a questionable extension for Google Chrome. MixMovie falls into the category of the Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs). The developers of this suspicious plugin promise to make your surfing experience easier, faster and more enjoyable. In theory, MixMovie should let you watch free movies, trailers and TV series. This extension is not a stand-alone application that allows you to watch streams directly. All MixMovie may achieve is to redirect you towards third-party pages. Some of them may not be trustworthy or allow limited functionality, expecting you to pay for the majority of features. In any case, if you do like these sites, you should open them directly or set up browser bookmarks. If you install the PUP, MixMovie may cause various additional changes to Google Chrome, which the majority of PC users may not appreciate. MixMovie is closely related to movix.searchalgo.com, which is a low-quality search engine. MixMovie may set it as your homepage or default new screen tab. Although the search site contains the popular 'Web,' 'Images,' 'Videos' and 'News' sections, you should abstain from using it. The reason is that movix.searchalgo.com may promote partner sites, some of which may be unrelated to your search terms. MixMovie also may inject advertising content in these pages. For example, you may notice some eye-catching pop-ups, banners, sponsored videos, embedded gifs, in-text ads and so on. The presence of these unwanted ads may cause you annoyance because they tend to be intrusive and may occupy a significant area of the screen. Your browser may waste resources for their loading, which may result in occasional unexpected speed drops. If you elect to explore some of the promoted pages, you should be vigilant not to install a corrupt program or become a victim to hoaxes. You may install MixMovie intentionally from the Chrome Web Store, but it also may come hidden in a software bundle. If you decide to eliminate MixMovie from your PC, you should use a credible security application.
