OneSoftPerDay, sometimes identified as a variant of EoRezo adware, is a browser add-on used for displaying advertisements automatically, and in potentially intrusive formats. Since malware researchers frequently link adware advertisements to both security problems and performance issues, you should consider the removal of OneSoftPerDay by any means required, unless you have specific reasons for not doing so. Incomplete removal of OneSoftPerDay may allow its advertisements to continue loading, which can be prevented by using anti-adware products to uninstall OneSoftPerDay, along with any settings changes linked to this Potentially Unwanted Programs.

OneSoftPerDay: A Shill for Far More than One Advertiser Per Day

While profiting from advertising traffic is an entirely legitimate financial strategy, some third parties, such as OneSoftPerDay's company, fail to show the necessary restraint to make it a reputable, long-term business plan. With confirmed but non-consensual distribution in July of this year, OneSoftPerDay may be installed automatically, whether OneSoftPerDay accomplishes this via bundle installers, browser exploits, fraudulent updates or other methods. At this time, malware experts rate bundles as the most probable means for distributing OneSoftPerDay, which may include itself in installers for unrelated, third-party products. These bundles tend to be particularly prominent on free software sites, illegal download sources and torrent networks.

OneSoftPerDay advertisements use the format of pop-ups, which, frequently, load into the upper right corner of your default Web browser. These advertisements may block a website's content, ignore standard advertisement-management settings, or even exposure you to potential security risks. Malware experts also have found some evidence of OneSoftPerDay conducting basic tracking functions to monitor the advertisement interactions of its users, although OneSoftPerDay doesn't appear to harvest confidential information (passwords and other sensitive data).

Getting Hard on a Soft Source of Browser Advertisements

OneSoftPerDay shares the same category as most adware: a Potentially Unwanted Program. Although PUPs shouldn't be confused with threats, OneSoftPerDay's advertisements may put you at risk for exposure to higher-level PC threats than itself. OneSoftPerDay advertisements may display repetitively on unrelated Web pages, which also may be responsible for a variety of performance and site accessibility problems for any Web browser. Although it may be attractive to remove OneSoftPerDay by yourself or change to a browser unaffected by OneSoftPerDay, deleting OneSoftPerDay with anti-adware tools is the most reliable way to revert all problems associated with this add-on.

PC users who install software from unconfirmed sources or launch files without scanning them for threats are at a particular risk for being exposed to OneSoftPerDay, along with many, equally invasive PUPs. While OneSoftPerDay's advertisements may supposedly be benign, at the end of the day, malware researchers find no reason for encouraging a perpetual exposure to pop-up advertisements.
