Pesquisa.Ninja

If the first page you notice when you start Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer is pesquisa.ninja, you should know that your web clients are infected with a browser hijacker. This suspicious add-on may enter when you load some freeware. These questionable extensions are often cleverly concealed: unless you perform the process through the "Custom" guide, you may be unable to detect their presence. Once the hijacker behind pesquisa.ninja gets access to the PC, it will proceed with some unrequested changes in the settings of the web clients. In addition to the fact that this search platform will stand as your new homepage, you may also be redirected towards it automatically when you open new tabs. Pesquisa.ninja tries to convince the users that it is the Brazilian version of Google. It even contains the unique Google button "I'm Feeling Lucky", translated in Portuguese. Ironically, if you conduct a search on pesquisa.ninja, the results will appear on the Brazilian version of Yahoo and not on Google. The developers of pesquisa.ninja benefit by inserting sponsored links among the other results. These concealed ads appear in the top positions, so that the users can easily be transferred to some third-party affiliate pages. As pesquisa.ninja boosts the traffic towards its partners, the people who stand behind it get referral commissions. The problems you may face when you use this low-quality search platform can be divided into two categories. First, the results may not be accurate, which may waste your time. Second, some of the promoted sites may be designed to harm their visitors – they may offer compromised software or try to scam the users. For these reasons, you should not use pesquisa.ninja, and should delete the hijacker.
