TROJ_RANSOM.BOV Screenshot 1TROJ_RANSOM.BOV is a hazardous Trojan and component of ransomware that spreads via Laduree.fr, the website of a well-known confectionery company located in France. Laduree's web page was compromised for infecting PC users' systems with ransomware, which is detected as TROJ_RANSOM.BOV. TROJ_RANSOM.BOV poses as messages from the National Gendarmerie (in French: Gendarmerie nationale), commonly known as the French Police Force. TROJ_RANSOM.BOV shows a window that covers the full desktop and asks to make a payment. Apart from targeting French PC users, who visited the Laduree website, there were also several malware infections noticed in Japan. Laduree pastries are popular among the Japanese; actually, the Laduree website only translates to French, English and Japanese. To keep your PC safe, remove TROJ_RANSOM.BOV as early as possible.
