I had problems with about:blank the same day I found a file called istsvc.exe and nothing would remove it, I did not ask for it and since my computer is now infected with all kinds of other stuff its useless. I’ve lost time and money and pis**d off my boss with all the delays. It came from http://www.ysbweb.com
. I found this address deep in the registry (the address was very long and it was for updating and restoring scripts . I went to this address on my secure (OS9) Mac and found they have a removal tool but I have not downloaded it yet (I can’t download anything on my pc because of all the problems mentioned).
It just seems fishy that I scanned my system the day before and found nothing then the next day 101 bad problems had to be removed. Well I got rid of them all but could not eject About:Blank or istsvc.exe…
my feeling is that anyone who touches my computer in reality or in cyberspace should be hacked to Death in one way or another. By the way my OS9 mac saved my job (ass) this week. with only 5% or less of the market and a OS that is now unsupported by apple, whos going to mess with that.
