I HAVE A MONSTER OF A VIRUS IN WHICH THE ICON LOOKS AS FOLLOWS: location is down right beside my clock. it looks like a shield with gold stripes that run from upper right to lower left. these stripes are gold in colour.
It blocks any attempt toopen any site I am trying toopen…except (thank God) my Internet.
What is this virus and how do I ring it’s neck?

I have removed alot of the antispyware xp 2008 mess from popping up but…. it has made it so I can not access my cd rom drive or go on the internet to download any software to fix it. I already have spyhunter but somehow they figured out a way to make it so it won’t authenticate….. I need help!

format your hard drive that ’s the best you can do. try to make system restore on early date prior to installing the antivirus 2008 if you can access it. Next time make a partition for your data files so it will be easy formating your system drive.

I have this virus. So far I installed and ran Norton Internet Security. It removed everything except the annoying pop up on Internet Explorer 7. I just found this page and I will try the steps included here.
