How to Uninstall Docker
Docker is a popular software suite used in software development and deployment. Recently, it has made news headlines because of numerous hacking attempts against poorly secured Docker instances. The good news is that the criminals behind these attacks did not exploit vulnerabilities in the software and, instead, they gained access by brute-forcing weak login credentials. If you are planning to remove Docker for some reason, then you can follow these quick instructions to complete the task on both Windows and macOS.
Uninstalling Docker on Windows
Windows users need to go to the 'Start Menu' and select Settings -> Apps. After this, they need to find the 'Docker for Windows' entry in the 'Apps & Features' section. Select 'Docker for Windows' and press 'Uninstall.'
Uninstalling Docker on macOS
macOS users have two options when it comes to handling the removal of Docker. They can go to Finder -> Applications, and then drag Docker to the 'Trash Bin.' Alternatively, they can open the Docker application, select 'Preferences,' and then click on the 'bug icon' in the top corner. Finally, select 'Uninstall.'
