0l0lqq Ransomware

Posted: January 25, 2021

The 0l0lqq Ransomware is a threatening piece of malware that shares code with the infamous TeslaCrypt Ransomware. Unfortunately, neither the 0l0lqq Ransomware nor the TeslaCrypt Ransomware is decryptable via free software, and their victims may have a difficult time restoring access to their files. The 0l0lqq Ransomware may be distributed on the Internet through fake downloads and updates, pirated software/games, or other shady content. It is recommended to protect yourself from this ransomware and similar file-lockers by investing in a reputable and regularly updated anti-malware software suite. In addition to this, you should consider maintaining regular backups of your important files so that you will have a reserve copy in case of ransomware attacks on your file system.

The 0l0lqq Ransomware behaves just like traditional file-lockers, and its attack aims to encrypt the contents of many files before marking their names with a unique extension – in this case '.0l0lqq.' After these tasks are completed, the 0l0lqq Ransomware proceeds to drop the ransom message 'RESTORE_FILES_INFO.txt' which explains the situation to the victim.

The threat's authors ask to be paid a hefty ransom fee in exchange for their help, and they promise to unlock only one file for free – this is done so that the victim has proof that the decryption tool works. The criminals use the emails worker400@airmail.cc and workplus111@protonmail.com for contact.

It is not good to send money to 0l0lqq Ransomware's authors, even if they claim to have the only reliable recovery option. Instead of trusting them, you should use a reputable anti-malware tool to remove 0l0lqq Ransomware's files and then run the popular data recovery software.
