Ransom-E Description
Ransom-E is a trojan virus that pretends to be an installer for software, but actually, it is just a tool to perform an SMS fraud. This trojan is advertised on P2P networks, IRC channels, newsgroup postings, email spam and in other methods. Usually, Ransom-E performs fake media player installation that requires sending an SMS message to receive a certain activation code and to complete installation process. Ransom-E should be removed as soon as possible after detection.

Ransom-E Manual Removal Instructions
Backup Reminder: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.To remove Ransom-E, you must first stop any Ransom-E processes that are running in your computer's memory. To stop all Ransom-E processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Ransom-E, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
To delete Ransom-E registry keys, open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and click "OK." Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ransom-E." Right-click this registry key and select "Delete."
Finally, to completely get rid of Ransom-E, you must manually remove other Ransom-E files. These Ransom-E files can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Ransom-E might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Ransom-E\Ransom-E.exe. Locate and remove these files.
