Win32.Agent.bn is a Trojan that hijacks your browser and redirects it to pornographic and potentially harmful websites. Some versions of Win32.Agent.bn may also be generic detections for a variety of Trojans that cause harm to your PC by downloading files and installing programs without your consent. The presence of any type of Win32.Agent.bn infection on your PC is a grave threat to your computer's security. The Many Types of Win32.Agent.bn Threats

Win32.Agent.bn may refer to a generic TrojanDownloader:Win32/Agent.B infection or to a specific Trojan:Win32/Agent.B infection. Generic Win32.Agent.bn Trojans may download harmful files to your PC, attack your security to enable remote attacks and change system settings.

Either type of Win32.Agent.bn infection may run without your permission or any visible evidence of a Win32.Agent.bn infection being active with the possible exception of an unusual memory process. This version of Win32.Agent.bn may also be found with any of the following aliases: AdClicker-AJ, Looking-For.Home Search Assistant, Trojan.Win32.Small.ga, Trojan.Adclicker, Troj/Small-EZ, W32/Small.IJ, TROJ_SMALL.AZM or TROJ_SMALL.QX.

  • This browser-hijacker version of Win32.Agent.bn will redirect your web browser to pornographic websites. Some examples of the dozens of websites that Win32.Agent.bn may force you to visit include: al4a.com, freeporn-sites.net, onlybestsex.com, sexzool.com, twilightsex.com and worldsex.com.
  • Win32.Agent.bn will monitor programs that are used and may attempt to shut down programs that are related to security. Win32.Agent.bn has also been observed to alter the functionality of basic Windows programs including the Windows Calculator, Microsoft Paint and Notepad.
  • Like the majority of Trojans, Win32.Agent.bn may also download other malicious programs without asking for your permission. This can include keyloggers that steal passwords, threats that pretend to be genuine security products or even other Trojan horses.

Win32.Agent.bn registers .dll files, hooks into native processes and makes significant Windows Registry changes; this makes deleting Win32.Agent.bn a harrowing experience without a good anti-malware program. Switching to Safe Mode prior to any system scan is recommended to help remove Win32.Agent.bn and all of Win32.Adware.RegDefense's related components.
