Online tactics often rely on exploiting legitimate features in your Web browser to deliver their fraudulent content. Recently, there has been an efflux in the popularity of the 'Please click Allow to continue' tactic. It is hosted on various websites claiming that the users need to click 'Allow' either to verify that they are not robots or play a video. The latter variation of the tactic is found on the page Backtonews.biz – it tells people to press 'Allow' to enable video playback, but as soon as they complete this request, they will subscribe to Backtonews.biz's push notifications unknowingly.

Being subscribed to a shady page's notifications is not the worst thing when it comes to online safety because the page cannot abuse this permission to perform any harmful tasks. However, it may use it to deliver regular unwanted notifications that promote affiliate programs, other schemes, shady websites and other suspicious content. The Backtonews.biz notifications should be avoided.

If you see these notifications on a regular basis, then you may have fallen for this tactic accidentally. It is recommended to try and resolve the issue immediately by removing Backtonews.biz's permissions to use notifications.
