Being subscribed to a shady page's notifications is not the worst thing when it comes to online safety because the page cannot abuse this permission to perform any harmful tasks. However, it may use it to deliver regular unwanted notifications that promote affiliate programs, other schemes, shady websites and other suspicious content.
