ConvertorSearch

Posted: February 1, 2021

ConvertorSearch is a browser add-on that may pretend to offer helpful features such as converting media, documents, and audio files from one format to another. Having this in your browser may sound great at first, but the truth is that ConvertorSearch's functionality is minimal. In addition to exaggerating the usefulness of its features, ConvertorSearch may also introduce unwanted changes to your Web browser's configuration. It will reinstate the new tab page with Portal.convertorsearch.com, while your browser's default search engine will be replaced by Feed.convertorsearch.com. While there is nothing threatening about these changes, they may end up worsening your navigation by forcing you to use an unknown and non-trustworthy website.

ConvertorSearch is considered a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), and users should be aware of the trouble it may cause if installed. While ConvertorSearch may not be threatening, the changes it brings are clearly intrusive. If you are not a fan of them, you should use a reputable security tool to remove ConvertorSearch's components immediately. Once the PUP is removed successfully, any changes it brought will be reversed.
