Discretesearch.com is a search engine that offers users the ability to keep their searches hidden from the spying eyes of major search aggregators like Google, Bing and Yahoo. According to the owners of Discretesearch.com, every search query you run through popular search engines is logged and may be used for marketing purposes such as improving the quality of the ads you see while browsing the Web. You may see this is a bad thing, but if you think more about it, you'll realize that avoiding online ads is nearly impossible, and having these ads tailored according to your interests and desired is a rather positive change. However, i you prefer to keep your searches hidden for some reason, then Discretesearch.com might indeed be the page you are looking for. However, you should keep in mind that the search results you'll get with Discretesearch.com's services may be different from the ones you'd usually see. Furthermore, the search results page of Discretesearch.com may include sponsored advertisements and other marketing content, which is undesirable, to say the least.

Apart from being filled with some ads, the Discretesearch.com page also may be affiliated with a hijacking Web browser extension whose installation may modify your Web browser's settings by replacing your default new tab page and search provider with Discretesearch.com. If you authorize this installation's extension unknowingly, you may end up seeing Discretesearch.com in your Web browser even though you don't recall visiting this page ever before. If this is the scenario you are experiencing, then we suggest that you review your list of installed browser extensions and remove any unknown entries. If this does not solve the issue, then there's an even easier method – just run a reputable anti-malware scanner, and it should be able to identify and remove any software that may be linked to Discretesearch.com's unwelcome presence in your browser's configuration.
