ForSearch.net

Forsearch.net is a dysfunctional search engine that may be associated with more than one piece of browser hijacking software. The browser hijackers in question may be compatible with popular Web browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox, and their installation may result in unwanted changes to the corresponding Web browser's settings. The good news is that the changes are not considered as threatening since they may include small changes to default new tab page, homepage or search aggregator that user relies on. Depending on the hijacker installed, users might end up seeing the Forsearch.net page whenever they launch their Web browser or attempt to open a new tab and initialize a Web search.

Although it is not uncommon for some low-quality and not-so-popular search engines to be linked with browser hijacking software, the situation with Forsearch.net is a bit more different. That's because this search engine does not work as promised, and even the small number of 'features' shown there don't behave as expected. For example, visitors will see the buttons 'ForSearch,' 'Bing,' and 'Google' right below the search field. These buttons should be used to allow the users to choose which search engine they want to use. However, regardless of their choice, the search button always lead to the results page of Forsearch.net. Not only this but the results there are always empty probably due to a bug in Forsearch.net's search algorithm. In short, Forsearch.net may be practically useless, and seeing this page in your Web browser means that you must take the necessary measures to remove it along with the browser hijacker that brought it there immediately.

The best way to deal with low-level threats like the Forsearch.net hijacker is to use a credible anti-malware scanner that will dispose of the intruder's files and components. Keep in mind that most hijackers are installed as browser extensions so that it might be possible to identify and remove them via your Web browser's extension manager manually.
