ID SafeXpress

Posted: March 8, 2018

The ID SafeXpress is a software suite meant to help users protect their online privacy and keep their data safe while browsing the Web. The ID SafeXpress might sound promising at first, but the truth is that it does not offer any unique features when it comes to preserving the user's online privacy. Some of its 'key' features appear to be the ability to delete chat logs, saved passwords and browsing history. While being able to do this with just one tool is a great option, modern Web browsers are already capable of doing this by default. In addition to this, modern chat applications like Skype also possess the ability to allow users to wipe away chat logs, account information, and other potentially identifiable data swiftly.

In addition to not being useful particularly, the ID SafeXpress also might cause another issue, which concerns the free version of the application. Although many users might think this product is free, the truth is that the trial version does not offer the majority of the key features that the ID SafeXpress is being advertised for. Unless you agree to pay for a premium license, the ID SafeXpress will not be able to help you with any privacy optimizations and fixes. Instead, the trial version will only work as a scanner, which can generate a report with recommended fixes and optimizations.

We advise against paying for the ID SafeXpress because this application does not seem very useful and, in addition to this, it has been marked as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by a large number of popular anti-virus products. While the removal of the ID SafeXpress is not mandatory, it is the recommended course of action since the ID SafeXpress may not offer any valuable or irreplaceable features.
