People spend hours browsing the web, so it isn't a surprise that online advertising is one of the best ways to promote services, products, companies, and websites nowadays. Although many methods of advertising are legitimate and safe, there are certain advertising techniques that many users might not want to come across. For example, adware has become a very popular cyber threat nowadays, and many people might have been affected by adware at least once.
Adware is a simple piece of software, which has one single purpose – to inject ads in the user's web browser. These advertisements aren't associated with the websites that they are displayed on, so basically the adware's authors piggyback on the products developed by professional webmasters and web designers. Jabuticaba is an example of adware that surfaced recently and has already annoyed a fair number of PC users. Jabuticaba is installed as a web browser extension, and once it is installed its first job is to start injecting all kinds of advertisements in the targeted web browser.
The Jabuticaba Ads may include banners, pop-ups, in-text ads, audio advertisements, and even sponsored search results. The adware may also set-up custom web page redirects and send the user to particular web destinations associated with Jabuticaba. The Jabuticaba software may also gather anonymous data regarding the user's common Internet activities and browsing habits, so that's another good reason you may want to remove this spying piece of adware.
