High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

The Mute Tabs Button is a fake browser extension that is only compatible with Google Chrome. According to the official website of the extension, users who install the Mute Tabs Button will gain the ability to mute all of their opened Google Chrome tabs simultaneously or separate tabs. However, the 'Download' button on the website does not appear to work, and the official Web page can't be used to install the Mute Tabs Button. Weirdly enough, the Mute Tabs Button is present on the Google Chrome Store and can be installed from there, but this is not something you would want to do since the Mute Tabs Button extension is classified as adware, and its installation will not bring any valuable new features to your Chrome installation.
Adware like the Mute Tabs Button was developed with one thought in mind – to help the author generate revenue by flooding users with a non-stop stream of advertisements. The marketing content that the Mute Tabs Button software may inject in your Web browser is likely to vary a lot depending on the advertising campaign that is being used currently. Although adware applications don't necessarily display unsafe advertisements, you should not trust any ad brought by Mute Tabs Button blindly since they may often promote various fake software products, services, special offers, etc. These ads may diminish your Web browsing experience significantly since the Mute Tabs Button will not take into consideration the layout of the page you are viewing currently. This means that you may end up seeing ads on top of navigation buttons, content, and other valuable sections of your favorite page.s
The removal of the Mute Tabs Button software is highly recommended, because it does not bring anything positive to your Web browsing experience and, instead, does just the opposite – it will worsen your time spent browsing the Web by bombarding you with irrelevant and unwanted advertisements.
