scanandrepair.net Removal Guide

Scanandrepair.net is a browser hijacker that gets into your computer through Skype from someone called Security Monitor. It urges to go to scanandrepair.net and get malware removed from your machine. Once you open the link, you will be offered to scan your computer for free and then you will be displayed with fake scan results. This is the technique how users are tricked into purchasing the full version of rogue anti-spyware application. Scanandrepair.net offers you to download Scan and Repair Utilities 2007 which is a fake spyware removal utility.

To restore the original default homepage, open IE > go to Tools > Internet Options > Type the URL address of your desired website > Click "Use Current" > click "OK". But restoring your hompepage manually does not necessarily mean that you've gotten rid of the spyware infection that brought on the homepage hijacker.
