Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

SpeedDownloader is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) whose installation may sometimes occur without the user's knowledge. According to its official website, SpeedDownloader serves the purpose of a handy download manager that may enhance the speed at which users download certain files. However, the installation of SpeedDownloader also may bring other, unwanted changes, to the user's Web browsing experience. The Terms & Conditions section on the SpeedDownloader's Web page states that the product is ad-supported, and users who agree to install it automatically approve of it injecting advertising content in their Web browser.
The good news is that while SpeedDownloader may be a bit annoying, it will not expose users to harmful content or threatening software. In addition to this, it does fulfill the purpose of a download manager, but users might not notice any improvement when compared to the default download managers that Web browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Opera use. Although the removal of SpeedDownloader is not mandatory, users who ended up seeing this program on their computers and don't remember installing it should consider getting rid of it as soon as possible since they are unlikely to enjoy any of its features.
The marketing content that SpeedDownloader may insert in Web browsers may vary, but it is likely that users will end up seeing a larger number of in-text ads, pop-ups, banners, and full-page ads while browsing their favorite websites. These ads may be labeled 'SpeedDownloader Ads,' but this may not always be the case. To keep your computer clean of PUPs like SpeedDownloader, you should always remember to download software from trustworthy websites, preferably ones that don't require the use of their download manager. Furthermore, if you happen to download a freeware application, you should review the installation steps carefully to make sure that it does not offer the installation of 3rd-party utilities that you don't need. Last but not least, using a trustworthy anti-malware software suite may help you spot a PUP's attempts to get on your computer, and it will also protect you from more severe threats that lurk on the Internet.
