The TSS GmusicPlayer is a fake piece of a computer software that may be promoted falsely as a multi-functional audio player that provides users with access to various extra features and quality improvements. However, users who opt to install the TSS GmusicPlayer may be unhappy to find out that their computers will not boot as usual anymore because the TSS GmusicPlayer software will display a fake error message that also serves as a lock screen. The fake error message claims to come from 'MyPC Doctor,' and it tells users that 'Error Code: b-00xx01' is preventing their computers from starting, and they need to take care of this problem by phoning certified computer experts immediately. To make it even more convenient for users, the fake lock screen provides them with the phone numbers 855-223-9012 and 800-066-245-8, which are supposed to get users in touch with certified computer technicians. However, this is untrue, and the only people who would answer calls to these numbers are the con artists who are involved in the technical support tactic that the TSS GmusicPlayer promotes.

In addition to the fake error screen, users also might notice a fake pop-up telling them that their computers are locked, and they need to enter a password to continue. As expected, the fake pop-up also tells them to contact one of the phone numbers listed above for help. It goes without saying that such offers to take advantage of technical support services should be ignored because they usually belong to a hoax. The case with TSS GmusciPlayer is undisputable, and these error messages are only displayed with one single purpose – convince users to call one of the phone numbers listed on the error screen, and then the con artists may attempt to sell them expensive services or software that the users don't need.

When the TSS GmusicPlayer is installed, it may create several files in important system folders to ensure that the fake error screens will keep appearing even after the computer has been restarted. Some of the file names that the TSS GmusicPlayer may use for the corrupted executables are mycent.exe, active.exe, active.bat, etc. Due to a large number of suspicious files that the TSS GmusicPlayer leaves behind, victims of this technical support tactic should always take advantage of a credible anti-malware tool to remove the fraudulent software from their PCs.
