ScreenshotVirusBlast is a rogue anti-spyware program that displays fake warning messages in order to trick the user into purchasing the software. VirusBlast proclaims to be a legitimate application for removal of spyware, but, in reality, it installs a trojan that pops up deceptive advertisement alleging to detect spyware. VirusBlast may also change the Internet Explorer default home page and redirect the web browser to malicious web sites. VirusBlast is a variant of other rogue anti-spyware programs such as SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, SpySheriff, SpywareStrike, TitanShield, and AntiVirusGold.
