Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

It is not a good sign if all of a sudden your browsers start showing ads labeled as 'Powered by WindowPolicies.' These commercial materials may not originate from the Web page that you are currently viewing. Their existence can be traced to an unwanted add-on that may attach towards Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. This questionable program functions as typical adware, inserting various ads to make its partner pages more popular. WindowPolicies may travel, almost exclusively, in software bundles. Since there are various issues regarding its performance, legit platforms for Web extensions have not included it. The developer of this adware has not created an official site as well. If you install cost-free applications without reading the details carefully, you may give permission to the entrance of WindowPolicies unknowingly. If you do it, the suspicious plugin may inject large quantities of pop-ups, banners, videos, gifs, transitional ads or in-text ads. Soon you will be noticing them because these marketing elements may not appear on the shopping platforms solely. You may find them during your surfing sessions consistently, which a lot of PC users don't appreciate. The sponsored links may sometimes cover too much of your screen, including the navigational buttons of the sites. Your browser will have to use part of the available resources to load multimedia ads, which may increase the loading time of the whole page or cause unexpected freezes. This adware may read your surfing history and the list of recent searches. It may use this data to adjust displayed offers to your taste, which will make it more likely for you to click on them. However, not all of the ads by WindowPolicies may be safe. Some of them may open sites that are threatening to yourself or the stability of your system. All in all, this adware may not benefit you at all but may cause various problems, so it is advisable to use credible security software to delete it.
