Winkeyexpired.xyz is a domain name used by technical support con artists to promote their dubious content whose goal is to convince users that their computers are infected with threats, and cyber crooks might gain access to their email login, Facebook Login, credit card details and other information. The messages that Winkeyexpired.xyz pop-ups may promote usually sound scary at first, but tech-savvy computer users should keep in mind that Web browser messages are not a reliable source of information regarding their computer's health and security. Often, pop-ups that claim to warn you about hacker attacks, threat infections, and similar issues end up being a hoax whose goal is to convince you to pay ridiculous amounts of money in exchange for technical support services or unreliable security software.

According to the message that Winkeyexpired.xyz propagates, users need to call either 800-046-5735 or 800-941-033 immediately. These phone lines are supposed to be toll-free and, according to Winkeyexpired.xyz pop-ups, they will get users in touch with certified support agents who'll help them remove the parasite and improve their computer's security.

Winkeyexpired.xyz is not the only domain that this group of con artists seems to use. The IP address that the domain uses is associated with links to a large number of other domains among which are networkprivacyreport[.]xyz, winblockedinfo[.]xyz, winblockedreport[.]xyz, wincrashalert[.]xyz, wincrashalertinfo[.]xyz, winkeyalertinfo[.]xyz, winkeycrashalert[.]xyz and winkeyexpireinfo[.]xyz. As the names suggest, all these domains aim to propagate the same technical support tactic probably and scare users into trusting the fake computer experts.

If you come across Winkeyexpired.xyz pop-ups or similar messages with the same content, then you've become the target of fraudulent con artists who want to convince you that you are in need of their services. If you opt to call the phone lines they promote, you may be asked to spend hundreds of dollars in exchange for their services and 'specialized software.' Needless to say, paying customer support representatives who have a non-existent reputation is out of the question.
