Home Malware Programs Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) YahooChrome

YahooChrome

YahooChrome is a suspicious application, which is linked to neither Yahoo nor the Google Chrome. Its authors have probably used the name of the software giant and the popular Web browser to make the executable file seem legitimate, but we assure you that nothing about YahooChrome is trustworthy. While this program has not been associated with unsafe activities, its presence on your computer is strongly undesired since it appears to carry out some shady operations to stay hidden and prevent users from removing it. When YahooChrome is installed, it will create a Windows service called 'saiyi technology limit,' which starts with Windows. The installation of this tool will not create a removal entry in the Windows Control Panel so that getting rid of YahooChrome would be a difficult task for inexperienced computer users.

It appears that YahooChrome works in the background and connects to remote sites to send & receive information regarding advertisements. This leads us to believe that the purpose of YahooChrome is to serve as an adware application, which displays advertisements whenever you use your Web browser. While this action is not harmful, it is certainly annoying, and the software associated with it should be terminated as soon as possible.

Since there's no option to remove YahooChrome from the Windows Control Panel, we advise our readers to take care of this adware's removal with the assistance of a trustworthy PC security software suite.
