Chromecast Can't Connect to Windows

There are several ways to try and resolve the problem:

Check if Chromecast is Connected to the WiFi

Chromecast's streaming features are entirely reliant on your WiFi connection, so having it malfunction is likely to cause all sorts of trouble. Make sure that you have entered the correct password, and that your Chromecast is connected to the local WiFi network – you may have accidentally connected it to a different one.

Restart Chromecast, the Router and the Computer

Factory Reset the Chromecast Dongle

A factory reset ensures that the problem is not caused by any accidental changes you have made to Chromecast's settings. Temporarily Turn off Firewall\Anti-Virus Software
