How to Uninstall BlueStacks
BlueStacks is one of the most liked Android emulators, and it is being used by millions of people on a daily basis. It allows you to create a virtual Android device on your Windows or macOS computer and then run your favorite Android applications on it. If you have been using BlueStacks, but you wish to remove it now, then the guide below should help you accomplish this task on both, Windows and macOS.
Uninstalling BlueStacks on Windows
One option is go to go the Start Menu -> applications -> applications & Features. Select BlueStacks from the list of installed programs, and then press 'Uninstall.' Alternatively, BlueStacks offer a removal tool called 'BSTCleaner_All,' which can be downloaded from their official site. It is recommended to use BlueStacks' removal tool since it is guaranteed to dispose of all leftover files.
Uninstalling BlueStacks on macOS
Uninstalling BlueStacks from a macOS device may be slightly more complicated because users will need to dispose of some leftover files manually. Start by going to Finder -> Applications, and dragging BlueStacks to the 'Trash Bin.'
Reopen Finder, check the following directories and delete the files associated with BlueStacks:
- /Library
- /Library/Application Support
- /Library/Preferences
- /Library/LaunchAgents
- /Library/LaunchDaemons
- /Library/PreferencePanes
- /Library/StartupItems
