How to Uninstall ooVoo

ooVoo used to be a popular messaging and voice chat software that was available for all popular desktop and mobile platforms. However, it was discontinued in 2017, and nowadays its networks are offline, even though the original software package can still be downloaded. Of course, downloading and installing it would mean nothing, as users would be unable to create an account or access their previous one. Needless to say, having ooVoo on your computer is pointless, and you should proceed to remove this useless piece of software. Not only is it defunct, but outdated software may often be a security concern.

Open the Start Menu, and then select the Apps -> Apps and Features menus. This will provide you with a list of currently installed software. Find the entry for 'ooVoo,' select it and then press 'Uninstall.' Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the process. Check for other 'ooVoo' entries in the same list and delete them as well – some users have complained about the unwanted ooVoo Toolbar being present on their device.

Alternatively, you can launch ooVoo's dedicated uninstaller directly. You should find it in one of these directories under the name 'unins000.exe':

Uninstalling ooVoo on macOS

macOS users should have an easier time uninstalling ooVoo, because they can complete the task with a simple drag-and-drop movement. Go to Finder -> Applications, and simply drag ooVoo's icon to the trash bin. After this, make sure to empty the trash to finalize the removal.
