How to Uninstall Slack
Slack is a popular instant messaging software that also features support for conference audio/video calls, group chatrooms and much more. It is one of the favorite tools used for online communication in an office environment. If your company has decided to switch to different messaging software, then you might be wondering how to properly remove Slack from your device. Below, you can find useful removal instructions for both Windows and macOS users who wish to uninstall Slack:
Uninstalling Slack on Windows
Windows users need to start by opening the notifications area in the bottom-right corner, and then right-clicking Slack's icon to exit the program. After this, navigate to the Start Menu, and go to 'applications.' Select 'applications & Features' and then find Slack in the list of installed programs. Finally, press 'Uninstall' and follow the removal steps.
If Slacks somehow persists after the aforementioned removal method, you may need to use 3rd-party software, which specializes in uninstalling Windows applications.
Uninstalling Slack on macOS
Unlike Windows users, macOS users are far less likely to experience issues with Slack's removal. The only thing they need to do to eliminate the application is to go to Finder -> Applications, and then drag Slack's icon to the Trash Bin.
