AgileHelp is a computer utility that only Mac users are likely to come across. However, while AgileHelp may promise to improve the user's ability to navigate and search the Web, the real purpose of this software is very different. Instead of helping you, the AgileHelp program may turn your Web browsing sessions in a very unenjoyable experience due to the large number of advertisements you will be exposed to. In addition to promoting various affiliated links and shady online stores, the AgileHelp adware may even expose you to fake anti-virus reports, which claim that your computer has been infiltrated by viruses. These fake alerts are meant to convince the user into downloading an anti-virus scanner whose download link accompanies the alert – often, this may end up being a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP.)

The AgileHelp software may come as a stand-alone application, or it also may be offered as a 3rd-party utility by other software installers. In addition to bringing a large number of advertisements to your Web browser, the AgileHelp software also may replace your default new tab page or search engine with a questionable alternative.

AgileHelp is not a program that can be useful, and we assure you that installing it is a bad idea. If you see an offer to install it, do not accept it, regardless of what the installer promises you. Furthermore, if the AgileHelp software is already present on your Mac computer, then we advise you to take the required steps to uninstall its components completely. This task should be taken care of with the use of a suitable Mac security product.
