Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Users who opt to install the 3Spiral Wave Tab extension may be attracted by the application's offer to provide them with a fancier new tab page that includes a search field, weather widget, popular website bookmark collection, and an animated background that looks better than the plain backgrounds that popular pages like Yahoo, Bing and Google use. However, users who opt to install the 3Spiral Wave Tab should be aware that everything that this extension offers can be taken advantage under one condition – users must say goodbye to their default new tab page. Using the 3Spiral Wave Tab also requires users to authorize the application to replace their default new tab page that the search engine the 3Spiral Wave Tab is meant to promote. The good news is that while some users might consider this an unwelcome change, the page that the 3Spiral Wave Tab promotes is not considered unsafe and, in fact, it can serve as a reliable replacement for the browser's default new tab page.
The website that the extension promotes appears to work fine, and we did not encounter any unwelcomed advertisements while we were browsing it. When users attempt to use the search field, the 3Spiral Wave Tab will run their search query through Google.com and redirect them to the search engine results page (SERP) hosted by Google.
If you do not wish to continue using the 3Spiral Wave Tab's services, then you should be aware that restoring your default new tab page requires you to remove the 3Spiral Wave Tab from your Web browser. Thankfully, this application does not utilize any self-preservation techniques so that you can simply uninstall it via your browser's add-on manager. The same task can be handled with the help of an automated anti-malware scanner.
