The 877-897-5126 phone number is used exclusively for hoaxes. The con artists who operate the line may call you directly if they obtain your number from somewhere. They may try to take your money with the promise that they will sell various products at a low price. However, the fraudsters have gone even further. They have created a browser hijacker to mislead the user to dial 877-897-5126 on his own initiative. This extension may compromise Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer if you download software bundles. Some corrupted links in social platforms also may redirect you to compromised sites that may attempt to load the plugin on your system. Once the tool enters, you may start seeing various misleading pop-ups as you surf the Web. These messages may display different warnings. In some cases, you may notice a notification that you need to install some 'updated driver' to maintain the security of your PC. In other instances, the pop-ups may say that you are already infected with dreadful threats that may collect information or cripple your whole Operating System (OS). You should keep in mind that your machine is most likely clean except for the browser hijacker. If you are infected with other parasites, it would be a coincidence. You should not call 877-897-5126 because the con artists on the other side of the phone will not provide you with the expected assistance. They will use various social engineering tactics to scare you even further. A couple of minutes into the chat, they will certainly demand payment for their fake services. The payment may be classified as a 'commission', and may exceed $200 easily. It goes without saying that you must not send them your cash. It is also a terrible idea to give them remote access to your PC because they may upload real threats. You should delete the '877-897-5126' Pop-Ups without wasting any time.
