AOL4Free trojan

Author of the AOL4free trojan did indeed cause a lot of additional confusion. Many people heard about the trojan and wondered if the AOL4free email hoax was valid after all. The existence of the trojan does nothing to valid the AOL4free hoax. Note, that the AOL4Free Trojan is NOT a virus. It cannot spread except by being deliberately distributed. It must be run to do any damage. If someone sends you message with the AOL4Free application attached, you are in no danger; simply don't execute the application.
