Avp-scanner.org is a browser hijacker which promotes Antivirus Plus rogue security software. Hackers behind this scam use a Trojan to enter the system stealthily and modify the web browser settings to redirect hapless Internet users to Avp-scanner.org for no particular reason. Avp-scanner.org is actually a fake system page which produces false results claiming the targeted computer is infected with malware. Soon the PC will be bombarded by popup alerts urging the purchase of Antivirus Plus to remove the alleged threats. Do not fall for this blatant scam and remove Avp-scanner.org and the related Trojan immediately.
