BrainCodec is a variant of the Zlob Trojan malware. BrainCodec masquerades as a video codec. BrainCodec program is malicious and extremely dangerous. The BrainCodec Trojan installs itself secretly through deceptive mechanisms, such as browser security exploits, and opens up a backdoor security hole, allowing remote attackers to control your computer, execute programs, download additional malware, and steal personal data and credit card information. The BrainCodec Trojan may also install rogue anti-spyware programs and deliver excessive numbers of pop-up advertisements.
